There was an important meeting at the Old Bailey last night to raise awareness and take action to tackle the horrendous hidden crime of modern slavery.

The Global Commission on Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking is an international initiative led by Baroness May of Maidenhead to exert high-level political leverage to restore political momentum to eradicate forced labour, end modern slavery and human trafficking.

There was a hugely impressive panel of prosecutors, academics, legislators and investors.

Abuse exists in supply chains of businesses which must take action to identify it and stop it -supply chain mapping people as well as product.
